Performance Marketing Specialist

ALK is on an ambitious journey to become the preferred allergy company globally and have in recent years been investing heavily into digital consumer-facing activities. Consumer Care and Digital Excellence is a division put in place to engage potential end-customers of ALK earlier in their disease journey through digital engagement tools, mobilization to physical allergy doctors and innovative partnerships such as telehealth solutions and in-pharmacy allergy clinics. The team is operating globally in markets such as USA, Germany, UK, Slovakia, Czechia, Austria, Switzerland and more to come. 

ALK’s ambition to get closer to the consumer has resulted in more focus on the Consumer Care and Digital Excellence business unit/division. The Consumer to Patient Strategy has been the focus area since 2021 and continues. The business unit has recently been restructured in order to foster added focus on driving impact in the form new patients through all channels and partnerships.

Organisational structure

As Performance Marketing Specialist, you will report to Head of Digital Marketing, Sidsel Birch Andersen, in the Digital Marketing Team, where all digital marketing efforts are anchored across paid, CRM, marketing automation, tracking and analytics. The team plays a global role and work in close collaboration with regions and local markets.

Main responsibilities

In close collaboration with creative teams and project leads, you will develop, implement, and optimize performance marketing campaigns aligned with business goals:

  • Execute existing and new Meta and LinkedIn campaigns
  • Constantly work to improve campaign performance through insights and real-time optimization
  • Monitor campaigns for performance, ensuring campaigns are pacing correctly, managing spend, troubleshooting campaigns, gathering insights regarding performance, making updates accordingly, and flagging potential issues
  • Campaign reporting and recommendations on optimization
  • Collaborate with other Performance Marketing Specialists in the global team in order to align the design and execution of campaigns and reporting
  • Potentially look into other relevant digital channels aimed at the target group
  • Collaborate with media planners on upcoming campaigns determining best platforms, target audience, and creative strategies to develop media plans. 
  • Create and occasionally present campaign reporting: pacing reports, campaign build, ad-hoc analysis, and high-touch optimizations to ensure relevant metrics and insights are shown and make recommendations by condensing or strengthening key insights from campaign reports to optimize performance. 

The ideal profile

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Proven experience as a Performance Marketing Specialist or in a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels and advertising platforms, including full proficiency in ad management systems (LinkedIn & Meta)
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and experience with data-driven decision-making
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data sets
  • Experience with A/B testing and optimization techniques
  • Experience with marketing in the healthcare/pharma sector is a plus. Or as a minimum with international B2B or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of the latest performance marketing trends and the ability to contribute ideas, concepts, and tactics to reach a professional audience
  • Solutions-orientated, with a passion for digital media, getting results and testing new ways of working.  
  • Like keeping up with and consuming digital and performance marketing related trends, media tactics, and have an understanding of many buying platforms.  
  • A quick learner, a great communicator and team player, and stay up-to-date with platform changes and marketing tools.  
  • An open and direct communicator; you’re not afraid to throw out an idea or challenge an existing one.  
  • Motivated and excited when an ad over performs and have a rationale as to why. 

Greatest attractions and challenges of the job 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a major part of scaling and materializing impact of cross-company Consumer to Patient activities and budgets year over year ultimately transforming ALK and expanding the market of AIT across the world. The biggest challenge will be your ability to generate results in our marketing efforts in collaboration with key members of the digital marketing team, supporting our markets in reaching their targets and KPIs.

Practical conditions regarding the job
