Junior Supply Planner

As a Junior Supply Planner, you will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials and finished products are available to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory and waste. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (Madrid) and headquarters (Denmark) to develop and implement effective supply chain strategies that optimize costs, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
You will be responsible for managing packaging materials production plan for the main line of products in ALK. This position will oversee planning implementation of changes in packaging materials (control of change in the quality system; and implementation in production ensuring continuity of supply, and minimization of scrap), with direct dependent on the Planning Leader.

Fields of responsibility
- Lead the monthly/weekly production planning and validation of production schedules for manufacturing. Creation of tools supporting production planning.
- Activities related Planning Demand within Product Supply.
- Develop appropriate planning strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
- Responsible of Coordinate Supply Planning activities, from components to finished products, supply (vendors and CMOs), to manufacturing and product orders placement and/or management and scheduling towards Affiliates and External Partners.
- Monitor and correct inventory levels internally (Warehouse) and at the affiliates level (in close collaboration with GSCM), to minimize the risk of shortage.
- Collaborate with procurement department to determine risk of components supply.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in supply chain processes.
- Prepare and present supply chain performance reports to senior management.
Your qualifications
- Bachelor of Science; Engineering/Chemistry would be valuable.
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain planning, inventory management or production planning.
- Master in Supply Chain Management or related field (not required; but valuable).
- Proficient in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Fluent English.

The position is located at ALK’s site in Madrid what is in the business area of Ciudad Lineal, very close to the center of Madrid. We have quick access to the Hermanos García Noblejas and Ascao metro stations and we also have a wide bus connection. The manufacturing center is located at Calle Miguel Fleta 19 while the Business Support area is in an annex building located in the Avalon Business Park. Nevertheless, we have a remote working policy that will allow you to work from home part of your time.
