
People & Operations Business Partner – Northern Europe / Global Business Support (GBS)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced People & Operations Business Partner to support leadership teams across Northern Europe and Global Business Support (GBS). In this role, you’ll deliver operational HR support, consult on leadership development, and ensure the alignment of HR policies with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the organization is fit for purpose by supporting managers with year-round activities to maintain operational effectiveness.
- Provide guidance on organizational, personnel, and leadership matters to enhance high performance and employee engagement.
- Translate global HR policies into regional HR policies for Northern Europe/GBS.
- Manage relationships with workers councils and unions in the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden.
- Oversee HR processes such as contracts, confidential documents, compensation & benefits, reviews, and job profiles.
- Collect and analyze HR metrics, providing insights and actionable recommendations to management.
- Support recruitment efforts by collaborating with managers throughout the hiring process.
- Provide employees with information and support related to employment and HR issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of personnel development initiatives.
- Participate in local, regional, and global P&O projects, driving HR process improvements.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- At least 3 years of professional HR experience, preferably in an international environment (Nordics and Netherlands experience is a plus).
- Degree in economics, law, psychology, or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch, Swedish, or Polish is a plus.
- Strong understanding of labor law in at least one relevant country (Netherlands, Sweden, Poland).
- Comfortable with MS Office; Workday experience is a plus.
- Proactive, hands-on, and operational.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and trustworthiness.
- Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Empathetic with both employees and organizational needs.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Independent, result-oriented work style.
