Do you want to impact the future shaping of Global Procurement in an international, growing pharmaceutical company? Do you bring proven experience from a similar role working with Professional Services globally? Are you skilled with an analytical mindset and a high drive?
ALK Global Procurement is in an ongoing transformation, enhancing our scope and reach, to ensure short- and long-term value creation, underpinning ALK’s new strategy Allergy+. ALK Global Procurement manages direct and indirect procurement globally across locations in Europe, North America, and China.
To support this transformation, we are looking for an experienced Procurement Professional to lead and develop the efforts within Professional Services globally in ALK.

The role is newly formed with global remit and is fairly greenfield so you will have the opportunity to truly make it your own.
As Senior Category Manager – Professional Services, you work independently and in collaboration with stakeholders across ALK and externally. - Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations, finance and legal, to ensure alignment of procurement activities and business objectives.
- Strategic Procurement: Develop and implement procurement and category strategies for Professional Services. Drive continual improvement initiatives related to cost, quality, sustainability, and service levels.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and conditions. Continuously evaluate and monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues or concerns proactively.
- Sourcing and Contract Management: Lead the identification and selection of potential suppliers, conducting competitive bid processes or negotiations to secure the best value for the organization. Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, ensuring contracts are properly executed, adhered to, and renewed or terminated as required.
- Value Optimization: Analyze spend patterns, identify value opportunities, and support the development of strategies to optimize procurement processes. Drive initiatives that promote cost reduction, cost avoidance, and cost containment while maintaining quality and sustainability standards.
Your profile
Your qualifications include proven experience from a similar role in an international company. You have strong skills in making and executing category strategies and you can demonstrate the ability to negotiate contracts. You have experience in procurement of Professional Services, and if you have in Marketing this can be a plus.
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels and you can drive changes and anchor value. You have a strong analytical mindset, drive and like to be curious, proactive and lead the way.
You preferably have a master’s degree in business, supply chain or other relevant experience.
