Coordinator within production planning and shipping

The position
In this position, you will join the logistics department, contributing to the flow from production planning to the distribution of goods to our global affiliates at ALK. As part of our vibrant team of 12, you will experience a dynamic and informal atmosphere. The logistics team manages production planning, operational purchasing, warehousing, and shipping, playing a key role at ALK while promoting close collaboration with stakeholders throughout the organisation.

Your primary responsibilities will focus on two key areas; Production Planning – involves developing and maintaining the production schedule based on forecasts. Shipping – ensuring on-time delivery to our global ALK affiliates. You will create value through collaboration with various stakeholders across the organisation, continuously improve and simplify processes around Production Planning and Shipping, ensuring optimal costs, quality, and compliance.

Your primary tasks cover:

• Coordination and execution of production plans in partnership with the production team and Global Supply Chain.
• Identify and resolve scheduling or operational challenges that arise.
• Establish and maintain production process orders.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that sufficient materials are available for production.
• Work closely with the Global Supply Chain to manage shipment schedules, tracking, and delivery to our global affiliates.
• Ensure all shipping documents are accurate and complete, including packing lists and customs documentation when necessary.
• Resolve any shipping-related issues or delays in collaboration with our external transportation stakeholders.
• Drive and provide input to continuous improvements related to process optimisation, operational efficiency, cost saving, etc.

Your Profile
Whether you have a few years of experience or are a recent graduate with an interest and knowledge in this field, we welcome your application. We expect you will bring good collaboration and communication skills, with an understanding of the support function role and fluency in both spoken and written Danish and English.

It will be an advantage if you have completed a degree such as a Merkonom diploma in International Transport & Logistics, Logistikøkonom from CPH Business, or a related field. Moreover, you have experience with data systems, preferably SAP and Microsoft Excel for data analysis.
