Country Commercial Lead

Job Purpose
ALK is seeking an experienced Country Commercial Lead for Slovenia to oversee and drive the commercial operations in the country. You will develop and execute commercial strategies, lead a dynamic team, and ensure that Slovenia’s objectives align with ALK’s global and regional goals.

 

Key Responsibilities

Commercial Leadership:

  • Develop and implement country-specific commercial strategies, aligned with global and regional objectives

  • Drive market growth, focusing on revenue, market share, and profitability

  • Lead and manage the execution of marketing and sales strategies to meet ALK’s brand positioning and portfolio priorities

  • Monitor market trends, sales performance, and competitor activities, adjusting strategy as necessary

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing commercial team to meet targets

  • Manage resources effectively in line with budget and KPIs, ensuring efficient operations

  • Collaborate with HR and senior management to recruit and develop talent

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key local stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and government bodies

  • Ensure alignment of local and regional commercial strategies, sharing best practices across the organization

Compliance and Governance:

  • Ensure all commercial activities comply with national legislation, corporate SOPs, and the company’s code of conduct

  • Drive ethical business practices and ensure the integrity of ALK’s market presence

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry

  • Strong knowledge of Slovenia’s reimbursement system and governmental relations

  • Proven track record in leading and executing marketing and sales strategies

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive market growth and profitability

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement

  • Leadership abilities, with a focus on team motivation, development, and collaboration

  • Results-oriented, with a strong drive to exceed targets and deliver business objectives

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and make data-driven decisions
