



AP Accountant
Role Purpose
As an AP Accountant at ALK GBSC, you will be responsible for accurate and timely financial and administrative operations across the European Accounting Center. You will support AP activities, vendor queries, payments, and reconciliation while contributing to process improvements and supporting audit processes.
Key Responsibilities
Invoice and Expense Processing
Process Purchase Order (PO) and Non-PO invoices.
Manage Travel & Expenses (T&E) claims and reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and accounting standards.
Payments and Reconciliations
Prepare and process payments in SAP and via online banking platforms.
Maintain and reconcile open items on trade accounts and GR/IR accounts.
Perform month-end closing activities in line with MEC calendar.
Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
Vendor and Internal Collaboration
Resolve queries with vendors and local business units.
Maintain X-flow and release tables.
Collaborate with local finance teams and support audit processes.
Process Management and Continuous Improvement
Keep process documentation up to date.
Execute and archive internal controls.
Participate in projects related to standardization and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Experience in accounting within a larger company, SSC, or group function is required.
SAP knowledge is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Very good command of English (spoken and written).
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
