




Senior Laboratory Technician – Human Immunology Team, Global Research & Drug Discovery

The position
The Human Immunology is part of the department of Global Research & Drug Discovery in ALK Abelló R&D.
Your primary tasks will be:
- Co-pilot the development, execution and analysis of complex cell-based immunological assays, including work with both cell lines and primary human immune cells (b-cell, mast cells and basophils experience is a strong advantage)
- Perform and interpret data from FACS/flow cytometry (FlowJo/SpectroFlo), ELISA, and luminescence-based assays (e.g. Glomax)
- Work in close collaboration with scientists, contributing to study design, experimental refinement, and day-to-day troubleshooting.
- Take initiative in the continuous optimisation of workflows, protocols, and lab operations—identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
- Manage multiple priorities with a high level of structure, precision, and accountability.
- Handle biological samples, including preparation and documentation of human blood samples (blood-drawing certification is an advantage)
- Actively support colleagues across projects and tasks, maintaining a strong team-oriented mindset.
Your profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- A completed laboratory technician education (or equivalent)
- Strong experience in cell-based immunological work, including cultivation and functional assays of human immune cells
- Experience with B cell, mast cell, or basophil cultures is a strong advantage
- Well-developed skills in experimental planning, documentation, and data handling, with a structured, analytical, and improvement-oriented mindset
- Advantageous experience with:
- Flow cytometry (FACS)
- FlowJo/SpectroFlo analysis software
- ELISA and luminescence assays (e.g. Glomax)
- Demonstrated ability to work on parallel tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A proactive and collaborative attitude with a strong sense of professional responsibility
- Blood-drawing certification/experience is an advantage
