



Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Exciting opportunity as Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) in ALK - an international, growing pharmaceutical company!

ALK is seeking a Head of FP&A; a strategic and operational role within ALK focusing on the financial health and business strategy alignment of the organization – while realizing our ambitious Allergy+ strategy.
The position
We are looking for a Head of FP&A to lead our FP&A team in Business Finance. As Head of FP&A you will – together with the team – shape our direction and ambitions for our business financial planning and analysis, as well as drive and enhance our business partner deliverables in collaboration with the business. Overall, the position covers:
- Financial Planning & Analysis; covering budgeting and forecasting, performance analysis and reporting and scenario planning.
- Strategic Finance; covering long-term financial planning, strategic resource allocation and BD/M&A financial support.
- Finance Business Partnering; covering our R&D, Global Strategy & Business Development, and Staff's EVP areas.
The core objectives for the team are securing and delivering on the increased demand for financial insights and analysis - providing scenarios, business cases/ reporting and analysis to our Executive Leadership and Board of Directors. Further developing and driving performance management including balanced scorecard and financial planning processes well as growing and setting the future standard for our R&D and Staff Business Partnering.
As part of securing strong deliveries, you show solid leadership. Setting, growing, developing and engaging your team is key part of the role as we believe in the mindset of together, we grow and perform the best. Today the span of control in the position is 3 employees.
As a person you work independently and in collaboration with different stakeholders across ALK. You provide input and are close to the decision-making processes. Further you work closely together with the other leaders across the Global Finance organisation to ensure seamless collaboration and high-quality deliverables.
You report to the SVP Business Finance and are an integrated part of the Business Finance leadership team.
The role – in detail
The ideal candidate will be both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor, capable of driving high impact and contributing directly to ALK's future success:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the development and execution of comprehensive financial planning processes, including both short- and long-term financial plans, annual budgets, strategic capital & resource allocation and forecasting, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial ambitions.
- Performance management: Own and drive the strategic Balanced Scorecard (BSC) process, establishing and monitoring KPIs to track progress against strategic goals and ALK's financial ambitions.
- Executive financial reporting: Oversee the preparation and delivery of timely and insightful internal financial reports to the ELT, Board of Directors, and EVP areas, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Global business partnering development: Lead and develop the global Finance Business Partnering functions for R&D and Staff functions - ensuring proactive financial support, challenge, and value creation across these critical areas.
- Digital finance transformation: In collaboration with corporate finance, lead initiatives to digitalize and optimize finance processes, leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and the delivery of advanced business insights.
- Business Development and M&A support: Provide critical financial analysis, due diligence, and strategic support for business development projects, including potential mergers and acquisitions, in alignment with ALK's growth objectives.
- Team leadership and team and people development: Lead, grow, develop and engage the team.
- Stakeholder management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with executive and senior management stakeholders across the organization, acting as a trusted financial partner and providing constructive challenge.
Your qualifications
In order to be successful in the role, we expect your main qualifications and experience to be in line with:
- Master's degree (or similar) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years in Finance, at least 5 years within FP&A or Finance Business Partnering.
- Demonstrated expertise in classical business finance capabilities as mentioned above.
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities to interpret complex financial data, perform forecasting, and develop financial models .
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- International work experience – ideally in pharmaceutical industry and fluency in written and spoken English.
