Process Engineer

The position

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily production operations and providing essential support to production activities. This role includes troubleshooting incidents, ensuring compliance with work standards, and taking a lead role in process optimization.

He/She will serve as the primary contact for daily production activities and will work collaboratively with various stakeholders on multiple projects related to production equipment.

Fields of responsibility

  • Provide the input on the definition of the equipment requirements and specifications based on process, safety, quality, and production needs.
  • Act as the primary contact for supporting production activities related to assigned production equipment.
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of the production equipment, ensuring high levels of efficiency and quality.
  • Troubleshoot issues and ensure the operational efficiency of assigned equipment.
  • Train and support operators and technicians on the proper usage of the equipment.
  • Assist in evaluating technology necessary to support operational requirements.
  • Provide support on updating computerized equipment by assessing the impact of changes and defining qualification needs.
  • Conduct process analysis to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.

 

Your qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role preferably in Pharmaceutical Industry.
  • Degree in Engineering preferred; other educational backgrounds will be evaluated based on demonstrated experience.
  • Proven experience working in GMP environments.
  • Advanced proficiency in spoken, written, and understood English.
  • Knowledgeable in GAMP5, QMCS, and SCADA.
  • Familiarity with Quality Systems and Validation standards, policies, procedures, and methodologies.
  • Experience with process optimization and lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Must be fluent in Spanish and possess good communication skills in English.

The position is located at ALK’s site in Madrid what is in the business area of ​​Ciudad Lineal, very close to the center of Madrid. We have quick access to the Hermanos García Noblejas and Ascao metro stations and we also have a wide bus connection. The manufacturing center is located at Calle Miguel Fleta 19 while the Business Support area is in an annex building located in the Avalon Business Park. Nevertheless, we have a remote working policy that will allow you to work from home part of your time.
