Account Manager (region South-East)

Purpose of the position

The Account Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding customer relationships within the region of South- East Netherlands. The aim of the function is to achieve sustainable revenue growth and customer satisfaction by advising healthcare professionals, promoting the use of ALK products, and positioning ALK as a leading partner in allergy diagnostics and treatment.

Position within the organization

The Account Manager is part of the Sales department and reports directly to the Senior Manager Sales. The Account Manager works closely with colleagues from Marketing, Medical, and Customer Service.

 Key responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and stakeholders in the region;
  • Identifying and capitalizing on commercial opportunities for ALK products;
  • Achieving sales targets and objectives defined for the region;
  • Providing product information, training, and support to healthcare professionals;
  • Collaborating on the development and implementation of regional sales plans and marketing activities;
  • Monitoring market developments, competitor activities, and customer needs, and reporting on these;
  • Accurately handling administrative tasks, such as reporting visits and updating CRM systems.

  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written.

Experience and education

  • Higher professional education level (HBO or equivalent);
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a commercial role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or medical sector;
  • Experience with CRM systems is an advantage;
  • Knowledge of, or affinity with, allergy diagnostics and treatment is a plus.
