You will join a department known for its high level of expertise, professionalism, and collaborative mindset, working closely with analytical laboratories, IT, QA, and external partners.
If you are motivated by taking ownership of complex laboratory systems, working at the intersection of science, data, and IT, and helping shape the first chapter of the digitalization of the development area at ALK, this position offers the opportunity to have a direct and lasting impact on how laboratory digital solutions are built and used. Responsibilities
- Contribute to and help drive digitalization initiatives within the GCMC area, with focus on laboratory processes, data models, and system-supported workflows.
- Support implementation, administration, and lifecycle management of laboratory IT systems (e.g. LIMS and analytical software platforms).
- Perform qualification of analytical instruments and validation of computerized systems in development and GMP laboratories.
- Prepare and maintain qualification and validation documentation, including risk assessments, protocols, and reports.
- Act as a GCMC subject matter expert on data models and database structures, contributing qualified input to the digitalization of the GCMC area and the design of database solutions for laboratory applications, in collaboration with IT.
- Ensure laboratory systems are maintained in a validated and compliant state throughout their lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with analytical laboratories, IT, QA, and external partners and support audits and inspections as subject matter expert.
Your profile
We are looking for a Scientist who:
- Holds a Master’s degree or PhD in engineering, natural sciences, or a related field.
- Has solid experience with laboratory systems, qualification/validation, or laboratory IT support, preferably in regulated (GMP/GxP) environments.
- Has strong interest and demonstrated expertise in laboratory digitalization, data, and system-supported workflows.
- Has a theoretical and practical understanding of data models and database structures and can apply this in a regulated laboratory context.
- Is proactive in identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and data flows.
- Is solution-oriented, adaptable, and thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Communicates clearly and works well with both scientific and technical stakeholders.
