Associate Director, Commercial Excellence – Business Partner

The position
The Associate Director, Commercial Excellence – Business Partner for the Commercial region Europe acts as the primary strategic partner to the European leadership team. This role ensures data-driven decision-making, strengthens performance management, and enables robust forecasting and insights generation to accelerate commercial execution and drive growth of the anaphylaxis portfolio.

The position combines business analytics, market insights, performance reporting, and commercial planning with strong stakeholder collaboration across Therapeutical areas (Respiratory, Anaphylaxis, Urticaria, New adj. TAs, Food and Venom), Finance, and Commercial Europe area.

You can be based in Hamburg, Germany or Hørsholm, Denmark.

Key responsibilities
Business Partnering & TA Strategy Support

  • Serve as the trusted Commercial Excellence partner to the EVP Commercial region Europe and Leadership team.
  • Translate strategic priorities into measurable performance plans, KPIs, and execution roadmaps.
  • Challenge assumptions, validate strategic choices, and ensure alignment between global, regional, and country-level stakeholders.
  • Support strategic business planning cycles (SBP), annual business planning (ABP), and outlook processes (OL1/OL2).

 Business Analytics & Insights

  • Lead generation of actionable insights using internal patient model, sales, and CRM data; external syndicated data; and competitive intelligence.
  • Implement TA-specific analytical frameworks (patient funnel, adoption ladder, persistency, treatment capacity, etc.).
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to explain trends, identify drivers/barriers, and uncover growth levers.
  • Build dashboards and analytical tools in collaboration with BI/Data team.
  • Translate complex data into clear recommendations for senior leadership.

Performance Reporting & KPI Management

  • Design and manage the performance reporting framework for the Commercial region Europe.
  • Deliver high-quality, timely monthly and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Track KPIs such as HCP adoption, patient starts, persistency, treatment capacity, funnel conversion, digital engagement, etc.
  • Ensure close alignment with Finance on revenue reporting and variance analyses.

 Forecasting & Portfolio Planning

  • Own the Regional-level patient and revenue forecast models in close collaboration with Finance and TAs (Respiratory, Anaphylaxis, Urticaria, New adj. TAs, Food and Venom).
  • Validate market assumptions, demand drivers, uptake scenarios, and pricing/mix effects.
  • Prepare forecast updates and scenario simulations for strategic discussions and investment decisions.
  • Support launch forecasts, lifecycle management, and mid- to long-term forecast outlooks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Europe commercial organization, Global Marketing Operations, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Finance, Supply, BI/Data teams, and Corporate, Portfolio & Product Strategy organization.
  • Ensure strong alignment on insights, data definitions, KPIs, and forecast assumptions.
  • Support key global and regional initiatives (e.g., studies, market researches, launch readiness, omnichannel analytics, patient model improvements).

Your profile
Your educational background is a master’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or related field. You bring 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, ideally in Commercial Excellence, Analytics, Forecasting, or Business Partner roles. Experience with specialty pharma, immunology, allergy, or emergency medicine is a plus.

Technical skills:

  • Strong command of commercial data sources (ex-factory, in-market, patient-level data, CRM, ATU, competitive sources).
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI/Qlik/Tableau; familiarity with SQL or Databricks is an advantage.
  • Ability to build and manage advanced forecasting models.

Leadership and interpersonal skills:

  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex analyses clearly to senior leaders.
  • Strategic thinker with a practical, execution-oriented mindset.
  • High learning agility, curiosity, and comfort with ambiguity.
