Associate Strategy & NPP Director – Food and Venom Allergy
Do you want to shape the future direction of a global Food & Venom Allergy portfolio? Are you motivated by defining therapy area strategies and driving new product planning (NPP) across internal and external opportunities? Do you enjoy balancing scientific innovation, commercial priorities, unmet patient need, and long-term business sustainability to build a robust, value-driven therapy area portfolio?
The position
We are strengthening our global therapy area strategy and new product planning capabilities within Food & Venom Allergy – a core therapy area with a strong legacy in Venom Allergy and a rapidly expanding Food Allergy portfolio that is a key driver of the company’s future growth.
The Associate Strategy & NPP Director leads the global NPP agenda and drives high-impact strategic initiatives across the portfolio, applying strong commercial and financial acumen to support portfolio trade-offs, business case development, and value-focused investment decisions.
Reporting to the Head of Food and Venom Allergy Therapy Area, the role has a global scope and works closely with R&D, Business Development, Finance, and regional stakeholders to enable high-quality decision-making across development, portfolio governance, and long-range planning.
Your primary tasks will be:
- Lead global NPP for the Food & Venom Allergy portfolio, including scenario development, portfolio gap analysis, and strategic option assessment.
- Drive high-impact, cross-functional strategic projects across the therapy area, ensuring clear scope, strong execution, and high-quality commercial outputs.
- Own strategic and commercial input into development decisions (e.g., TPP evolution, indication prioritization), and champion the commercial voice in project core teams across drug development and lifecycle management assets.
- Develop robust financial analyses and business cases to support NPP, lifecycle, and portfolio investment decisions for internal and external opportunities.
- Deliver clear, concise, and executive-ready presentations, translating complex strategic, scientific, and financial analyses into high-quality decision-support materials.
Your profile
We expect that you have:
- 6-8+ years of experience in new product planning, portfolio strategy, or strategic roles within pharma or biotech, with consulting experience as a plus.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, with hands-on experience in business case development, scenario modelling, and investment decision support.
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives in a global matrix environment and very strong project management skills.
- Solid understanding of drug development and portfolio decision-making, with the ability to translate scientific and market inputs into structured insights.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a collaborative team player in a global matrix environment, with an enterprise mindset, building trust and driving execution toward shared outcomes.
- A master’s degree in life sciences, business, economics, or a related field (PhD and/or MBA preferred), with a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
