Responsibilities and tasks

 

  • Leading and coaching a national sales team in line with ALK Leadership and coaching model
  • Proactively analyse market situation (sales, activities, business opportunities and competitors) and give suggestions for improvements and other actions that are needed for the company’s further sales and business development
  • Secure and continue to improve sales excellence in the sales organisation and own team
    • Secore specific national conditions are covered in the strategy plan
    • Adopting the Nordic strategy plan into national tactical plan together with the Swedish Tactical team
    • Secure resources are used in the most effective way to reach set targets
    • Responsible for education and training of the sales team (in call performance, relevant scientific knowledge and business knowledge)
    • Implement and follow up on the RISE sales model
    • Coach Area managers to achieve targets both on right customers, activities budget and resources
  • Set targets for Area Managers and split cost budget per Area Manager
  • Create a winning team
    • Act professional and according to cultural beliefs at all times
    • Work as a team to the benefit of ALK

    • Work cross functional to get the best and most out of every resource allocated
  • Engage in cross functional collaborations
    • Give input and discuss the needs for the sales force, customers and set targets for the next planning period
    • Participate, give input and discuss strategy and activities in cross functional groups within Nordic and in other relevant groups
    • Actively, in cooperation with the Sales Manager team, continue to discuss and train in order to develop own skills in the Sales Manager role.
  • Set ambitious goals/targets and a clear direction for own and the team performance and on regular basis follow up on decided goals and targets
  • Analyze level of sales force excellence, plan and execute actions for development and improvements
  • Updated and in compliance with national rules and regulations, both ethical and code of conduct
    • Adhere to relevant SOP’s
    • Secure that Area Managers adhere to relevant SOP’s and code of conduct
    • Responsible for local monitoring and implementation of medical samples regulation

 

Experience and qualifications 

 

  • 5 years experience on relevant management positions within the pharmaceutical industry, alternative experience as project leader or other leader/coach experience
  • Sales experience
  • Academic degree (M.Sc. level or similar)
  • Medical Basic Training (Lif Course)
  • Driver licence
  • Strong people management skills enabling the establishment of both engagement and sales results while upholding high standards regarding ethics and values
  • Planning and organisational skills, structured and well-organised, enabling optimal use of available resources, analytical mindset
  • Have the skills to adapt in a constantly changing environment
  • Super user in sales data tools and CRM system
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
