Senior Director, Strategic Finance & Business Partnering

The position
You will become part of the Business Finance leadership team with direct report to the SVP, Business Finance and head a business partnering team of 3 dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality financial business partnering.

You will drive the financial business processes with high degree of independence as the role is building and developing our Finance Business Partner team towards our strategic HQ functions in close collaboration with the Senior Director, Group FP&A related to performance management and financial planning processes.

Taking on this role, you will be acting as a trusted advisor and strategic finance business partner to the Corporate Product & Portfolio Strategy and Global Research & Development leadership teams. You  will participate in leadership team meetings, portfolio board prioritization and other key committees and collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team, peers and stakeholders across HQ functions and Regions.

Your main area of responsibility will be:

• Financial planning and scenario analysis.
• Investment case development.
• Management of financial performance across Therapeutic Areas.
• Strategic portfolio management incl. stage & gate model.
• Strategic partnerships & long-term planning.
• Participation in strategic projects.
• M&A and due diligence support.
• Cost controlling, reporting & resource management.

About you
We imagine that you have previously worked with senior stakeholders in an international and fast-paced environment, and have minimum 10 years of relevant experience, ideally from within the healthcare industry; pharma is a significant plus given our R&D set-up.

To succeed in the role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

• Master’s degree in finance, business/commercial finance, economics or accounting.
• Proven ability and experience in building, leading and developing high-performing financial business partnering teams.
• Enterprise mindset; optimize for total company value and vast experience with business case development.
• Developed communication skills, capable of effectively presenting financial information to various stakeholders translating complexity into simplicity and ability to connect finance to strategy.
• Demonstrate excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills, performing effectively with various levels and functions.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities and an executioner that gets things done.

You work proactively and solution oriented and are known for taking initiative. You act with a high level of integrity and trustworthiness and are used to handling sensitive and confidential information. Finally, you are fluent in English and proficient in Danish.
