Technical Project Manager

Do you thrive at the intersection of business stakeholders, the Product Owner, the Tech Lead, IT, security, vendors, and developers? Translating business priorities into structured epics, tasks, documentation, timelines, and delivery plans?

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to own the full project delivery lifecycle – from refining business requirements with the Product Owner to preparing clear, development-ready work for the engineering team. This is a Project Manager role where you will coordinate, facilitate, challenge and drive delivery across cross-functional teams without having people management responsibility.

As Technical Project Manager your responsibility will cover:

  • Business Requirements & Stakeholder Management
    • Partner with the Product Owner to understand priorities, goals, and upcoming needs; act as the primary point of contact for requests, changes, and stakeholder questions.
    • Gather, clarify, and consolidate requirements across Product, SEO, Tracking, IT, Security, and other business units; facilitate workshops, alignment, and prioritization.
    • Challenge ambiguous, conflicting, or overly complex requirements and refine them before backlog preparation.
  • Backlog, Technical Planning & Delivery Coordination
    • Translate validated requirements into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business justification; own and prioritize the backlog so items are clear and ready for technical review.
    • Partner with the Tech Lead and development team to assess feasibility, risks, dependencies, sequencing, and delivery approach; break down epics into actionable tasks and support preliminary estimations.
    • Ensure backlog items are scoped, technically reviewed, and estimation‑ready; prepare clear, prioritized work for sprint planning.
    • Track delivery across projects, coordinate with stakeholders and vendors, surface and remove blockers, and communicate status, timelines, tradeoffs, and priority changes.
  • Technical Documentation, Security & Governance
    • Lead the creation and upkeep of technical documentation (system specs, process flows, project docs, decision records) and governance records.
    • Coordinate security checks, compliance reviews, and IT governance with Tech Lead, IT, and Security; identify security requirements early and embed them in plans and task definitions.
    • Track remediation actions through to completion and provide clear, auditable documentation of decisions and controls.
  • Website Migration Ownership
    • Lead website migration projects from external vendors to in-house platforms, including CMS migration, domain transfers, DNS coordination, analytics setup, tracking implementation, and vendor handovers.
    • Build and maintain migration plans, checklists, timelines, documentation, and governance processes, and coordinate business, technical, IT, SEO, tracking, and vendor stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
    • Drive change management and stakeholder communications; provide progress updates and present migration approach, risks, and business value.
  • Technology Subscription & License Management
    • Own and track all digital technology subscriptions and licenses, to maintain contracts, documentation, renewal cycles, and payments.
    • Monitor usage and costs, identifying opportunities for optimization, consolidation, or removal of unused tools and provide visibility on subscriptions, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Your profile
You are an experienced project manager with solid hands-on experience working closely with software development teams combined with proven ability to manage a full project lifecycle from stakeholder intake through to development delivery. You understand how software is scoped, estimated, prioritized, built, tested, and delivered.

You bring:

  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and development-ready tasks.
  • Ability to assess technical feasibility, spot delivery risks, and challenge requirements in collaboration with technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating as the sole project manager and owning the full coordination chain from requirements to delivery.
  • Experience with website migration projects, including CMS migration, domain transfers, DNS coordination, and analytics/tracking setup.
  • Experience coordinating technical documentation, security reviews, compliance checks, or IT governance processes.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between business needs and technical requirements.
  • Practical experience with agile delivery methods such as Scrum, Kanban, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and delivery tracking.
