Sales Manager Slovakia
Job Purpose
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and driving the performance of the field sales team within the assigned region, while also holding direct accountability for the commercial results of the Life-Saving Medicine portfolio.
The role combines strong people leadership with hands-on commercial ownership, ensuring effective execution of sales strategies, achievement of revenue targets, and high-quality engagement with healthcare professionals. The Sales Manager plays a key role in translating company strategy into field execution and driving business growth in the region.
Main tasks:
- Leadership, coaching, and performance management of the field sales team within the assigned region.
- Full responsibility for sales performance and target achievement of the Life-Saving Medicine portfolio.
- Implementation of sales and business strategies in alignment with company objectives.
- Driving customer engagement and market development within the region.
- Close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned execution and business success.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead, motivate, and develop the field force team to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Set clear objectives, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching to team members.
- Drive achievement of sales targets, KPIs, and business objectives within the region.
- Take ownership of regional sales planning, including forecasting and resource allocation.
- Ensure effective execution of sales strategies and campaigns in the field.
- Personally engage with key customers and stakeholders, including key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Identify business opportunities and implement actions to maximize market potential.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, medical, and other functions to ensure consistent messaging and execution.
- Support the development and implementation of customer-centric approaches and solutions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Contribute to talent development, succession planning, and team capability building.
- Regular reporting on sales performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve sales effectiveness and team performance.
- Drive adoption of new tools, digital solutions, and innovative engagement models in the field.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and ownership.
- Contribute to the development of new approaches to customer engagement and market access.
Qualifications:
Experience
- University degree.
- +5 years of experience in sales, preferably in healthcare or pharma.
- Proven experience in people management and team leadership.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Experience with specialty or life-saving products is an advantage.
