Global Digitalization Director in Product Supply
ALK is the world leader within delivering allergy solutions to people living with allergy. To pursue our ambitious growth and maintain this position we in Product Supply need to focus even more on digitalization of our processes and data and implementation of computerized equipment to improve quality, efficiency and harmonization across production sites. Therefore, we are searching for an experienced leader who wants to be part of driving Product Supply’s global digitalization agenda in close partnership with Global IT and our production sites.
The position
You will in the role of Global Digitalization Director report to the Senior Director of Global Technology Support and be part of the Global Technology Support team, which is an integral part of ALK’s Product Support division and operates directly under the EVP of Product Support.
Global Technology Support oversees corporate technical processes, provides technical guidance, and handles troubleshooting across ALK’s production sites in Europe and the US. You will in this newly established role, manage a team of eight specialists based at the Headquarters in Hørsholm and across production sites globally. The team is responsible for implementing and maintaining global Product Supply IT systems and computerized analytical equipment, establishing standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Your primary tasks will be:
- Responsible for Product Supply’s global digitalization strategy in collaboration with Product Supply management and Global IT.
- Drive collaboration and knowledge sharing on digitalization, leading to improved utilization of resources across ALKs different production sites.
- Strong collaboration and support to the engineering managers at the production sites concerning digitalization, validation of computerized equipment, engineering standards and project execution.
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for implementation, qualification and lifecycle management of global Product Supply IT systems and computerized equipment across seven production sites.
- Act as sponsor and line manager for six global system owners; ensure governance, documentation and audit readiness.
- Line manager for the two specialists in digitalization of data in a data lake (Azure) and data evaluation in the Databricks platform.
- Oversee data and analytics enablement within Product Supply, including Azure data lake & Databricks capabilities, data governance, and value realization from use cases.
Your profile
We expect that you have 10+ years’ experience in pharma GMP/GXP environments and proven leadership experience. Your background is either Engineering, but with strong IT skills, or IT, but with strong production experiences. Additionally, you bring:
- Proven track record of leading digital transformation in GMP/GXP manufacturing environments, ideally across multiple sites.
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable digital solutions and standards.
- Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders across Product Supply, Quality, and IT functions.
- A positive attitude and experience in working with different cultures.
- Extensive experience with implementation of IT systems.
- Knowledge of qualification of computerized equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive strategies and implementation of new processes; comfortable presenting it to senior leadership.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
It will be a plus if you also have:
- Experience with core manufacturing/quality platforms (e.g., LIMS, SAP, MES) and OT/IT integration.
- Experience with distance management.
- Exposure to manufacturing cybersecurity.
- Hands-on familiarity with data platforms (data lake, Databricks).
