Procurement Manager, Capex and Facility Management

Exciting opportunity to manage and develop the procurement set-up for Capex and Facility Management at production in an international, growing pharmaceutical company.

As a Procurement Manager at ALK, you will join the Global Procurement function, which is a geographical diverse, engaged, and informal team, who values skills, knowledge creation, pragmatism and integrity. The Procurement function is present at our sites US, France, Spain and Denmark and works with all spend types across the full value chain of ALK. As a Procurement Manager, you will play a key role in managing tactical and strategic procurement, at our production site in Denmark, for two large and important categories: i) Capex: machines, proces equipment, instruments, building construction etc., ii) Facility Management: cleaning, canteen, building maintenance, machine maintenance etc.

In close colaboration with the global procurement category manager, management and employees at our production site in Denmark, you will have a steep learning curve and great impact on ALK’s future supply of allergy products to patients across the world.

Your main tasks are:

  • Source new and manage existing Capex supplies and contracts
  • Source new and manage existing Facility Management supplies and contracts
  • Conduct supplier evaluations
  • Preventive risk management in relation to external supply disruptions
  • Plan and execute optimization of supply/suppliers according to Global Procurements value drivers, ie. quality, sustainability, ebit, time and innovation
  • Supplier management and key contact to suppliers
  • Procurement point of contact for Capex and Facility Management at the Danish production site and point of escalation for local purchasers
  • Communication and stakeholder management

Your qualifications are a minimum of 2 years’ experience with tactical and strategic procurement, which you may have gained from a pharmaceutical company, or alternative from a closely related industry like chemical/food/ ingredients etc.. It is an advantage, if you have previous experince in complex capex procurement and facility management. You will be working across different production and engineering departments, quality functions, borders and cultures, which is why organisational flair is a key skill.

You have a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, pharmacy, business administration, or similar relevant education. It is essential that you are skilled in strategic procurement tools, project mangement and engineering practices.  

You are a person with a proactive, curious, self-driven and positive mindset. You are very openminded and thrives in navigating in a dynamic and international environment. You are a natural initiator, able to prioritize and establish timelines and structures in your work. You have a can-do attitude, possess integrity and a good understanding of stakeholder management.

You master spoken and written Danish and English lanquage.

Travelling: Approx. 10 days per year.
