Associate Director Strategy, Analytics & Projects

Do you see connections where others see complexity — turning data, insight, and strategy into clarity and direction? Are you energized by driving impact across borders and functions — translating ambition into measurable progress? Are you motivated by redefining how life-threatening allergic reactions are managed for the better — helping millions of patients worldwide?

If so, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction of one of ALK’s most dynamic and fastest-growing therapeutic areas.

As Associate Director Strategy, Analytics & Projects, you will operate at the intersection of data, strategy, and execution — enabling focus on the most critical initiatives that will define success for the Anaphylaxis TA globally. Working closely with the TA Head, regional teams, and enterprise functions, you will help drive alignment, insight, and measurable progress across key strategic priorities.

The position
You will join the Global Anaphylaxis Unit and serve as the strategic right hand to the Therapy Area (TA) Head, driving key cross-functional priorities, shaping mid- to long-term TA strategy, and leading enterprise-wide projects within the TA. This role ensures strategic coherence across workstreams and acts as a central integrator across global, regional, and affiliate teams. Your key responsibilities will cover:

Strategic Planning & Direction

  • Support development and refinement of the 5-year Strategic Business Plan (SBP) and Annual Business Plan (ABP) for the Therapeutic Area (TA).
  • Facilitate scenario planning, market assessments, and capability mapping to inform strategic choices.
  • Serve as a strategic executional resource and thought partner to the TA Head, ensuring focus, alignment, and delivery of key objectives.

Enterprise Project Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives (e.g., go-to-market models, data strategy, disease area leadership, and launch readiness) with high visibility to senior management.
  • Ensure strong alignment with Corporate Strategy, Business Development, Medical, and other enabling functions to drive enterprise impact.
  • Translate strategic initiatives into clear, actionable workstreams with defined milestones and measurable outcomes.

Project & Portfolio Execution

  • Drive TA-level prioritization across brands, lifecycle initiatives, and pipeline readiness activities.
  • Oversee project execution across functions, flag risks, and ensure timely delivery of critical milestones.
  • Establish and maintain portfolio overview dashboards, providing transparency on progress, interdependencies, and value creation across assets.

Analytics & Performance Management

  • Design and manage the TA’s analytics framework, including forecasting, patient modelling, and performance tracking across markets.
  • Develop and operate compelling scoreboards and dashboards to monitor delivery on strategic priorities and Wildly Important Goals (WIGs).
  • Analyze trends, generate insights, and synthesize recommendations to inform decision-making for TA leadership and enterprise stakeholders.

Matrix Coordination & Integration

  • Act as key coordination point across global functions, regional teams, and affiliates to align strategy, plans, and deliverables.
  • Consolidate TA inputs into enterprise planning processes (e.g., OL1/OL2 cycles, budget submissions, governance reviews).
  • Collaborate closely with the Global Head of Commercial Excellence to harmonize analytics frameworks and performance management across therapeutic areas.

Your profile
Required education & background:

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Life Sciences or a related field.
  • Profound experience in strategy, commercial excellence, consulting, or enterprise project leadership in healthcare/pharma experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industry, ideally in global or cross-market roles, is preferred.
  • Proven experience in leading complex cross-functional programs or TA/brand strategy development in a global matrix environment.

Required skills & competencies:
