ALK has recently launched a new transformational growth strategy, with the aim of developing products and solutions, which can help even more people dealing with their allergies. The ambitions are high, and Business Development is responsible for identifying, analyzing, negotiating and transacting the best next business opportunities for ALK, thereby driving ALK’s short- and long-term strategy to grow the business. 

You will become part of our Corporate Development team of 7 Managers & Directors. You will be our only dedicated analyst and report directly to the Global Head of BD. You are expected to work team-oriented but also self-motivated and independent and being comfortable with assuming the primary responsibility for our business cases is essential. You will get opportunity to grow and expand your professional skills and exposure to both top-management and external negotiation parties.


Fields of responsibility:

Develop strong business cases based on thorough analysis

Your main responsibility will be to develop detailed business cases and present them to the Business Development team and management. The specific tasks can include but are not limited to:

  • Independently develop and drive solid business cases, founded on market and customer insights and through close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Present business cases and P&Ls for internal stakeholders
  • Research new business opportunities, possible M&A targets, strategic alliances and partnerships with current markets, adjacent markets and new geographies
  • Collaborate with global country/region managers and other departments within ALK to generate the insights needed for the decision-making process on new business opportunities


Your qualifications:

Commercial background with best-in-class results

We expect you to have an academic Master’s Degree in business administration, finance, marketing, pharmaceuticals or similar, with top results. You bring 2-3 years of experience from a similar position, maybe in the financial sector, where you have performed analyses of business opportunities and given your recommendations regarding business direction. Experience from the pharmaceutical industry is preferred but not a requirement.

As a person, you are used to seek out and work with a wide range of information sources and have the analytical skills to identify key facts in any given case. You thrive with working project oriented, possess great stakeholder management skills and have a high, natural attention to detail. Finally, you have a strong business acumen and you master English on a high, professional level.
