Global IT Supporter

Do you possess an experience and passion for providing IT Technical Support?

 

We are looking to hire an ambitious IT expert for our open Global IT Support position located in Cracow, Poland.

 

Your job will be to provide technical support to maintain the organization’s computer systems, both hardware and software and other peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance so that end users can maintain a high level of productivity.

Your role as Global IT Supporter

You will be right at the heart of Global IT as you support employees who have technical problems or need IT assistance.

 

Your areas of responsibilities will be:

 

  • Acting as single point of contact for users in any Information Technology matter
  • Interacting with users face to face or remote, providing exceptional support
  • Providing technical support across the company (in person or over the phone)
  • Handling or escalating in a timely manner incoming issues and requests according to SLA
  • Thoroughly recording of information into ServiceNow to ensure resolution is clearly stated
  • Supporting global operation and contingency with a focus on European countries
  • Supporting to some extend necessary maintenance of the IT infrastructure
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Participating in IT related development and implementation projects
  • Staying current with developments in new technologies and platforms
  • Facilitating communication across the ALK IT group
  • Supporting IT asset management ensuring that assets achieve their full lifetime cycle value
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new Technology

 

 

Your qualifications                                                                                                                                                          

You need to be able to deliver good customer service and like working with people.

You need to be very service minded and capable of communicating necessary, important and critical information to colleagues and end users at an appropriate level.

Also, you need to be good at completing tasks, following up with customers and generating instructions for distribution to a large audience.

 

As a candidate for the role you have:

  • An education in computer science
  • A general good knowledge of IT platforms
  • A technical, logical thought process
  • Experience in hardware and software installations
  • Experience in user administration in a Windows environment
  • Experience in use of MS Windows and Office365 environment
  • Good knowledge of IT support processes (best practice)
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to priorities and delegate

Fluent verbal and written communication skills in Polish, English and German are required – any additional language is considered as a plus
